My theory on what is going to be the shocker is that donald is red's son

Red, Ressler, Liz, Garrick, Dembe and even Cooper stepped it up several notches.

Tom is still too perfect! He NEVER gets mad, even when his wife had him arrested and interrogated. That guy is up to something!

My theory is that the girl in the VICAP system is Red's daughter that he flashed back to playing in the yard at his family home. She is a violent criminal now. I also believe Liz is his daughter with a mistress. I think his plan is to use the "good daughter" to save the "criminal daughter" and bringing down the Blacklist is part of that plan.

The preview on TV for part 2 show Red being tortured. I am not happy about that. Yes he is a criminal and yes he has killed people, but he only kills people in self defense or defense of others. And he has been portrayed as a passionate person who once was good and turned criminal after some heinous event. Like the parable of the farmer in the stewmaker episode. So we have all come to love him and now we have to watch him be tortured. I am sure Lizzie is going to find him and save him (presumably by the chip in his neck, if Anslo hasn't figured that out).

They are saying there will be a twist you didn't see coming so brace yourself for another OMG...WTH moment. :-) Maybe the VICAP girl will make her appearance at the end and that will be the fall season cliff hanger?

Poor Donald...as always he gets wounded...but this time really badly...loved the scene where Red was spacing and telling Donald the things he still wanted to do and when they showed a tearry Donald, i thought we would going to loose him for a moment...but thanks to Red, he is going to make it...well that needs to be seen next episode...
Loved Liz this episode. She was focused, not scared...and instead of a profiler, more a agent.
The last scene, with the Asian girl and Dembay....i was sitting at the edge of my seat..
Really loved it...Can't wait for the next episode and next season!!

Damn! Brutal. So much for wanting to know more about Red's team. Red is going to kill that guy very slowly...I hope.

This was the best episode of TV I've seen this season! Wow! The forty minutes just flew by. If this Garrick asshole is only number 16 on the list, I don't know if I want to see the top 15! Great casting choice in Richie Coster. Now that's a freaking villain. When he executed Red's Asian lady friend and her blood splattered on the door. Geez! And now Dembay may be dead.

I couldn't take my eyes off of James Spader. Even went he was out of focus and in the background, I watched him and listened to the other characters. Diego Klattenhoff was marvelous, as well. He reminded me of Freddy Neuwendyk lying gut-shot in the garage in Reservoir Dogs. Great performances all round.

If NBC and the producers of The Blacklist wanted our attention, they got it. How many more sleeps until next Monday?

Yeah, and Lizzy goes badass and shoots a guy in the back of the head? She kicked it up a notch as well and tried to go all "Die Hard" on that Garrick guy.

What I wondered, Red's bodyguards..... they really sucked at their job. I sort of expected them to make an impact on the "good guys front". But they didn't have very much to do in all those episodes except to open doors for Red - so they might as well get rid of them....

Best episode of Blacklist so far. IMHO.

The price for complacency. It happens all the time. I agree, kick-ass episode.

Riveting episode. First time actually seeing Red in action rather than orchestrating it. Didn't think Red liked Donald enough to try so hard to save him. A lot of Red's past is coming back to bite him in this episode and probably setting up for more revelations. Red's relationship with his body guard shows that he is just as loyal to his friends as they are to him.

This show just jumped a gear,

Loved how Red was immediately aware that the FBI had been played (Spader letting us see the gears turning), everything we've taken for granted about the team and characters put at risk, his wistful speech (although written hammy) given such heartfelt and weighted delivery by Spader.

Bressler/Katenhoff outside the he-man role and got to show vulnerability physically and emotionally when we get a glimpse of how his life may have been without his dedication and hunt for Reddington.

The Director and the CIA agent showing the balls to wall guts we knew they had and love them for.

Even Lizzy/Boone had me completely absorbed for once as she spider-monkeyed her way around the Die Hard siege situation and seemed almost in her element (making me a little guilty for my earlier criticism of her less affecting scenes)

Whoah, what an intimidating and thoroughly great villain, his methods are crude, violent and destructive even Red seemed to cut back on the quick witticisms in his presence, I'd be nervous too if his scarred head was knocking on the glass like a shark on the outside of a fish tank I was trapped in. He was also a genuine threat as we all witnessed unlike so many fangless villains (looking at you Hostages) that never harm important characters. (maybe call it the Spooks effect) What a cliffhanger ending! I'm shrieking at the TV, you don't need my approval but... Bravo... Blacklist...Bravo!!!

No, Red never said he was her Father. He told him, 'Thanks for taking care of Lizzy" and never mentions why he is protecting her. And the beat goes on...........
