Episode Summary

September 29, 1965

Bob Hope's guests for his first variety special of the new season are Andy Williams, Dinah Shore, Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Beatrice Lillie.

Presents himself in his first comedy special of the season an hour of brittle humor and solid songs.
It's one of the best efforts for the comedian wlw is
in excellent company with guests Beatrice Lillie (who is mighty funny in a ribbing of the film, "Cat Ballou" called Tiger Ballou),
Douglas Fairbanks, Jr, (who provides Hope a mean foil in a satire on astronauts).
Dinah Shore sings "Any Place I Hang My Hat".
Andy Williams solos with "The Way You Look Tonight".
There is also another obvious spoof on the James Bond theme, nand Hope's usual crisp commentary on the news.
