    • Nick at Nite used the "Let me get this clear, you want to be on television?" segment between Bob and the Group from this episode in advertisements announcing N@N's adding The Bob Newhart Show to its nightly schedule in 1993.

    • Changes to the sets: The Hartley's apartment has new carpeting and hardwood floors, the sofas have been reupholstered, the lamp by Bob's chair is new, the outside of the front door is now brown, the bedroom has been redone in brown tones, and the hallway is now gold. The exit sign at the office is now flush against the wall and Bob has a new painting on the wall by his diplomas.
