Bob's mother's name was Eleanor in this episode. In later episodes, Bob's mother's name is Martha and his sister's name is Ellen (similar to Eleanor).
(Bob has one last chance to tell his mother he loves her before she leaves)
Emily: Ellenor, we loved having you. Don't you Bob?
Bob: Yeah, yeah, Mom...love.
Eleanor: So do I. (walks out the door)
Bob: I think between the three of us I said it.
Bob: Emily, when I was nine years old I had a little dog. He had brown freckles all over his face, and I called him Freckles. And one day I was playing with him in the room, you know, and I looked down at his little face, and impulsively I just said, "I love you." And my mother was walking through the room at that time and she said, "I love you, too, Sonny." I mean, that was the last time I told my mother I loved her, and I was talking to a dog.
Jerry: So, the psycologist is having a little problem with his mother, huh?
Bob: No, not at all. She's a wonderful woman, she means well, and I love her. It's just, uh, well, I've never been able to communicate with her. I mean, conversation in our family was listening to my mother talk. I guess that's why I became a psycologist. I had all those years of listening practice.
Eleanor Hartley: Oh, that reminds me. Who do you think I talked to on the phone today? Your Aunt Theresa!
(Bob nods)
Eleanor Hartley: Well, aren't you going to ask how she is?
Bob: How's Aunt Theresa?
Eleanor Hartley: Just fine.
Bob: Mom, why did you have me ask how Aunt Theresa is when she's fine?
Eleanor Hartley: Well, she wasn't fine last week. It's her knees, you know, it's the wind.
Bob: Yeah, wind, wind will do that to knees.
"Hi, Bob"-ometer: One, from Jerry. A total of six for the series.
