  • Bob, Howard, Jerry and Mr Carlin spend Thanksgiving together getting drunk and watching football.

To quote comic shop guy from The Simpson's "This Is The Best Episode Evvvver". This is a great show, but with this episode, there is even more laugh out loud moments than usual. This is partly because Mr Carlin is featured more. The guys spend Thanksgiving together, doing guy stuff. Bob acting drunk is hilarious. This episode is essential viewing for any Bob Newhart fans.

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • After Bob pronounces his title Dr. as "Durr" during the famous "Moo Goo Gai Pan" segment, you can hear a studio audience member say "Durr?"

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Jerry: (selling Thanksgiving raffle tickets) Hey, Elaine, how about taking a chance on a turkey?
Elaine: No thanks, Jerry, I don't want to go out with you!

    • Carlin: I don't know, Doctor Hartly, I just hate the holidays.
      Bob: Halloween was rough, huh?
Carlin: Really the dregs. No one came to trick or treat all night. And I had special treats made up, too. Here, have a butter dish. (He hands a plastic butter dish to Bob)
Bob: I wish Emily and I had thought of that. We just gave out candy.
Carlin: A butter dish is forever. Why don't you read it?
Bob: (Opens the lid of the butter dish and reads the inscription.) 'Happy Halloween, kid. From Elliot Carlin. Boo.'

    • Carlin: This is the pits! You know you're at a bad party when Elliot Carlin is the happiest man in the room.

    • (all the men are drunk)
Bob:(into phone) Hello. Is this the House of Hu? I'd like to order some Chinese food. (to men with him) What do you want?
      Jerry: Howard wants pizza.
Howard: No I don't. I want some Moo Goo Gai Pan.
Bob: (into phone) Did you hear what Howard wants? Oh. Moo Goo Gai Pan.
Jerry: That's what I want, too. Dr. Jerry Robinson wants Moo Goo Gai Pan.
Bob: (into phone) And more Moo Goo Goo Goo.
Jerry: Did you hear what you said, Bob? You said, "more Moo Goo Goo Goo." You said "Moo Goo Goo Goo."
Howard: That's right. You said "Moo Goo Goo Goo."
Bob: Maybe I'm ordering Chinese baby food.
