The most emotional portion of the story would be when Nick confronts Brook in relation to her marriage to Eric. Apparently, he insists that Brooke hasn't slept with Eric at all cause she doesn't love him. It was extremely painful to watch Brooke tell him the truth. Knowingly, she has indeed not slept with Eric. Destroying the hopes of a person she deeply loves such as Nick that she has slept with Eric is truely torturing for her. The fact that she doesn't have an alternate choice for Bridget's sake requires her to lie to her beloved just to keep her daughter's marriage alive. Breaking Nick's heart and his love for her isn't an easy task.
Bridget after discovering the truth about Nick's and her mother's relationship and feelings for each other should slowly accept and learn that amendments couldn't be built overnight. Admittingly, its not something which could be forgiven and forgotten overnight but things should be sorted out and not just be blamed on her mother. Shouldn't it be majorly Nick's fault?moreless
