As this episode opens, the aerial view of Los Angeles clearly shows that it is daytime, however as the opening scene begins, it's suddenly dark outside.
Whether a scripting error or maybe just a chance to sneak something funny in from the writers, the Australian slag Brooke used actually translates into the following:
Well I figure that it's such a fantastic afternoon with no small children in sight, you and I could grab a sandwich and a beer and just chill. No reason to get angry hey friend. I'm not talking about getting drunk, I'm just talking about a little merry. You, me, some cheap wine and maybe some sex with a condom.
The history of the show is mentioned many times within this episode. Brooke and Ridge talk about BeLieF and the Forrester Creations Men's Line, while Taylor tells Nick about her dead mother Sharon, father Jack and his gambling problem and her brother Zach. As well as informing him of her previous marriage to Blake Hayes. She also tells him of her time in Morocco with Prince Omar.
On screen father-and-son Aldo and Dante, are real life father-and-son.
Mark tells Jackie that the cologne he is wearing is "Jabot For Men", which is a reference to "Jabot Cosmetics" - a company on "The Young and the Restless".
Shanelle Workman (Gaby) was first credited as portraying the character of Gabriela Diaz, however the character name is now credited as Gabriela Moreno.
Nick comments in this episode that he was 'going to adopt [Hope]'. In 2004, Deacon signed away his parental rights to Nick, making Nick her legal father. Once he married Brooke, Hope was to have her name changed, but the adoption itself was not contingent on the wedding. Now the adoption itself has been erased from the storyline, but it is unclear whether or not Deacon has suddenly regained his parental rights.
Brooke 'hopes' that Nick can still be a part of Hope's life. Apparently everyone has forgotten that Nick will always be a part of Hope's life -- after Deacon signed over his rights, Nick became Hope's legal father.
Although Brooke has gone through wedding ceremonies with Eric, Ridge, and Thorne, because her marriages to Ridge were invalid (1) and annulled (2), and her marriage to Thorne invalid (1), her only legal Forrester marriage at this point has been to Eric, whom she married and divorced in the early 1990s.
Amber tells Eric and Rick that Rudy has made and sold over 4000 copies. Amber was barely 17 when she left Furnace Creek, and would have been underage at the time this video was filmed, yet that point was never addressed.
The video was supposedly filmed before Amber came to Los Angeles. Since Amber was 17 when she came to town, Rudy cannot legally distribute a tape made when she was underage.
Now let me get this straight? There is a tiny piece of apple pie in a huge pan - that it was obviously not baked in because there is not trace of the rest of the pie - and it was hot when it arrived at Ridge's office? Hmm something's not right here, what say?
Blood types are no guarantee of paternity without an accompanying DNA test. Also, this episode states that Ridge is type B (+ or -), but in 1998, it was stated that Ridge was NOT type B (+ or -). Since the blood type for all the Forrester children was known by each of them when Rick needed a kidney transplant in 1998 (everyone matched back then BUT Rick, who was B- like Brooke), it's a clear continuity error that no one in the Forrester family has ever glommed on to the fact that Ridge's blood doesn't match.
Aaron Lustig (Tim) previously played the same character on "The Young and the Restless". This is another cross over between the two shows.
Amber tells CJ that the last time she heard from Tawny was in a postcard from a place named Harmony. Andrea Evans, who played Tawny, is now on the televison show Passions, which takes place in the town of Harmony.
It is mentioned in this episode that Amber can't swim.
Michael Tylo (Sherman) is the real life husband of Hunter Tylo (Taylor).
Tilly mentions the name Dale to Stephanie. Dale is Becky's brother who was seen in one episode in 1999 when a pregnant Amber went to Furnace Creek to give birth to her baby.
All the characters dressed as famous historical personalities for the ball: Grant as Napoleon, Brooke as Josephine, Thorne as Mark Antony, Taylor as Cleopatra, Enrique as Robin Hood, Claudia as Maid Marian, Eric as Henry VIII, Stephanie as his queen, Sally as Marie Antoinette, Clarke as Romeo, Lauren as Juliet, Hunter as Merlin, Ridge as Zorro,
Rick as a page and Bridget as an angel.
