The Brady Bunch

Season 1 Episode 6

A Clubhouse Is Not a Home

Aired Unknown Oct 31, 1969 on ABC

  • Trivia

    • The boxes the boys take from the master bedroom are not the same boxes they are shown carrying into the girls' room.

  • Quotes

    • Carol: I'm sure if the girls had a doll house and the boys wanted to play in it, there wouldn't be any problem.
Mike: (laughing) Oh yes, there would. If my boys wanted to play in anybody's doll house, I'd take 'em to a psychiatrist.

    • Mike: Effective immediately, we share, and share alike.

  • Notes

    • Although this is the sixth episode, it seems as if it takes place immediately after the pilot.

    • In this episode Mike and Carol's closet is near the mirror, but in another episode when Greg puts the goat in it, the closet is near the bathroom.

    • Neither boy's or girl's clubhouses are ever seen again after this episode!

    • The two uncredited voices on the soap opera Alice watches (while peeling onions in the kicthen) belong to June Foray and Hans Condried, who helped bring to life such TV classics as "Fractured Flickers" and "The Rock & Bullwinkle Show."

    • In Barry Williams' book Growing Up Brady, he tells about how every time one of the kids was scripted to have made a prop, the kids were actually supposed to make them... current case in point: the picket signs.
