Trivia

FILTER BY TYPE

  • Trivia

    • This is actual episode where Cindy doesn't wear her curly pony tails. She starts wearing braids. So whoever said in the trivia in season 3's episode, Cindy Brady Lady, that episode was the first time that she wasn't wearing her pony tails was wrong! It's in this first episode of the 4th season where she isn't wearing her ponytails. She wears braids until sometime in the 5th season, then she wears her hair down.

  • Quotes

    • Bobby: (finds idol) Hey, Pete, look what I found! It's real old.
Peter: It sure is ugly! You know what he reminds me of?
      Bobby: Who?
      Peter: You!

    • Bobby: What's that big lump down there?
Peter: That's Diamond Head, dumb head.

  • Notes

    • For this season only, Jan (Eve Plumb) wears her glasses which she got in "The Not-So-Rose-Colored Glasses" episode from the previous season, in the nine-square family grid. But she seldom wore it in the plotting scenes.

    • Starting with this episode, Bobby (Mike Lookinland) goes with his natural red hair from now until the end of the series instead of his hair being dyed dark brown.

    • This was the point in the series where Maureen McCormick (Marcia) and Barry Williams (Greg) started really getting romantic with each other in real life. McCormick has claimed that they were "inseparable" while filming in Hawaii for three episodes.

    • Marcia stands apart from everyone else during the picture... this could be due to the fact that it was filmed during the time when she and Barry were having personal problems.

    • This season is where "folklore" speculation about the Brady men getting "perms" comes up. Florence Henderson once revealed in a reunion special that while in Hawaii the humidity made Robert Reed's naturally curly hair crimp up. She said this was true with Barry Williams too.

    • At the time this episode was made, Patrick Adiarte was also appearing on M*A*S*H as Hawkeye and Trapper's Korean houseboy, Ho John.

    • This episode was parodied in "A Very Brady Sequel".

    • Chrysler Corporation stopped building convertibles after the 1971 model year.

    • With this episode, Cindy goes from her trademark curls to braids.

    • Mike gets a new convertible - a 1972 Chevrolet Impala convertible. Though the station wagon was the same as before (a 1971 Dodge Monaco), the new convertible marked the first time the Bradys owned a vehicle from someone other than Chrysler Corp.
