  • Gilligan's Island Rehashed

This episode resembles a Gilligan's Island episode where Gilligan is a Deputy and becomes power hungry and the same you can say about Bobby. He becomes power hungry and reports the other kids. Bobby gets his at the end when he rips his pants.
  • Mike Lookinland/Bobby Brady

I grew up during the 1960's and was in my late teens and early 20's when the Brady Bunch was on. Bobby Brady was my favorite TV boy. Mike really blossomed during this show. He got to be a particluarly cute boy. He is absolutely adorable walking around in his underwear. I'll bet Mike Lookinland was a real sweet boy. I loved him. Signed a Boy Lover

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • This is the only episode we see Bobby in his underwear washing his good clothes.

    • When Bobby stops the kid in the hall for chewing gum, the kid is reading a book. When it cuts back to Bobby and then back to the kid, he no longer has a book.

    • In an interesting bit of continuity, Bobby washes his good clothes with an entire box of "Safe" Laundry Detergent - the same brand the family was asked to do a commercial for in the season 3 episode "And Now, A Word From Our Sponsor."

    • The readout on Greg's clock-radio says "11:55," which it had done in several other episodes.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Mike: (to Bobby) We always have to have rules and laws, but we have to use them with reason and justice.

    • (Carol and Alice find Bobby in a sea of foam from the overflowing washing machine)
      Carol: What were you doing?
      Bobby: Washing my clothes.
Alice: You're supposed to take your clothes off before you wash them!

  • NOTES (3)

    • This episode is parodied in The Brady Bunch Movie.

    • Barry Williams was under the influence of pot in one of the driveway scenes from this episode. It was his day off, but he was called in unexpectedly.

    • Another well-constructed episode. Bobby trespasses and ruins his suit to save a cat. (Which, ironically and comically, saved itself AFTER he got dumped with dirt). He broke the rules, but he did it for the right reason, and he learned to temper his "justice" accordingly.
