This episode was ok. There was funny moments, like seeing that almost none of the kids could do push ups, jumping jacks, or squats. Then there were cheesy moments, like the kids tricking Emma to take a day off. How was finding a mouse supposed to get her to take a day off? Or convincing her that she looked sick? Why couldn't they just to tell her? It's not like she can actually do anything to them. She was also not the slightest bit threatening. Ann B. Davis played her the exact way she plays Alice. The funniest part of the entire episode (and the reason I raised it to an 8) was the completely random laughter by Bobby. This scene was so out of the blue that I still can't tell if it was scripted or not. Greg tells a totally lame joke that isn't the slightest bit funny, but then a few seconds later, Bobby busts out laughing while clapping his hands. The look on Peter's face was funny, too, as Bobby slowly stops laughing. It just didn't seem like something that would be scripted, but it had me cracking up!moreless

I loved this episode, but what really stinged me was that nobody told Emma to back off, and everybody was afraid of her. Nobody could stand up to her! I mean, come on! She was only a housekeeper, what was she going to do, arrest you if you didn't get up at 6:00?? I hated Emma, but enjoyed the episode. If I were one of the kids, I would of been complaining twenty-four hours, seven days a week. I would of never gotten up at 6:00. I would of never gone through that torture in the morning right before school. And I would of told her the truth that the cake was a welcome back present for Alice. But I was laughing when nobody else listened to Alice when she was blowing that whistle. I loved the episode.moreless

    • At the end of the episode, when Alice wakes up the family to do calisthetics, after the entire family gets to the top of the stairs, Mike says "Alice, it's 6:00 in the morning". Yet there is a brief gap of silence between "the" and "morning", and Mike's mouth is still moving. It's an urban legend that he swore and that they bleeped it out. Of course, this is unrealistic, as no one else in the scene is seen reacting, as they would have if he really had sworn. The reality is thet there was some kind of editing glitch or dubbing error that caused the audio to momentarily fall out of synch with the video. To confirm this, mute the sound altogether while reciting Mike's dialogue yourself, and you will see that he only says "Alice, it's 6:00 in the morning". Edit
