    • Great-Grandpa Brady: With it? Far out? Children nowadays seem to have trouble expressing themselves in words from the English language.
      Jan: That's modern English, Grandpa.
Great-Grandpa Brady: Modern perhaps, English, no.

  • Notes

    • Florence Henderson plays Great Grandma Hutchins in this episode. Shewould play Grandma Brady in the 1995 movie The Brady Bunch Movie.

    • This seems to be the only "relative" of Mike's you'll ever see over the course of the series! Carol had: Aunt Jenny, Niece Myrna Carter, Nephew Oliver, Mom & Pop (pilot show). Not to mention those you don't see but are talked about: The sickly aunt she went to take care of season 1 and Cousin Gertrude from the teeter-totter episode.

    • The old folk are actually Great Grandparents (and Step-Great Grandparents) to the kids. Only Marcia seems to realize this when she calls the old man Great Grandpa Brady.

    • Florence Henderson and Robert Reed portray dual roles in this episode.
