HOLY COW!~It is summer time! Saturday show times are the weakest timeslots of the week! Who even looks at the Saturday night TV Guide listings? Also, there was little or no publicity! Could they have put any more stumbling blocks in the way? Give it points for the engrossing &building storyline, for the great acting and exciting, thebelievable script, & a smooth introduction of all the main characters I may not be a paid critic but I do know what is good! Does CBS have a clue?

Bring Bridges Back!!! Orshow us the rest of season one that were scheduled.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • When Billy and Lee arrested Danny and they both pointed their guns at him, they had put themselves in each other's line of fire. No experienced police officer would ever do that.

    • The characters of Internal Affairs Officers Harris and Carillo were identified by name for the first time in this episode. Previously, they were credited as "IA Investigator #1" and "IA Investigator #2."

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Frank: You did these murders under the protection of the badge?!
Danny: Why do you think I became a cop, Frank? I'll let you in on a little secret too; I'm not the only cop out there who's doing hits.

    • Jill: Well, unlike you, Frank, we just got a list of those other guys, and now, y'know, this happens so it looks like we'll be tied up for a while. Which brings me to why the hell you didn't give us a heads up you're going to come out here and talk to our suspects? I mean, you know, he's Frank. Yeah, I understand. But you, sweetheart? You should know better!
Abby: Detective, as lead council for the union, I don't need your permission to speak with any officer at any time, anywhere I want.
Frank: What Abby means is you're right. We should have called you.
Jill: Don't tell me what I mean. I say what I mean!

    • Frank: Cops go to Renzo for one reason: to get a new suit. So why does he kill the guy? He doesn't like the price?
Abby: Crazy doesn't need a reason, Frank.

    • Tommy: This is exactly the kind of thing the brass can use against us. You're head of the union, Frank. You're not a cop anymore, remember? So put your union cap on and put your nightstick in your pants. You talk to this guy before Major Crimes gets to him, that's interfering with a police investigation. That's obstruction. that's criminal.
Frank: Not if it's a lawyer who's doing the talking.

    • Frank: You know what you two are? You're trophy hunters. You burn down an entire forest for one single tree.
      Carrillo: Whatever it takes.

    • Chief Wycoff: That's the last thing we need -- caught out here cuttin' deals under the table. Mayor'd hand me my ass and you'd lose the union. This doesn't work, Frank, unless they think we hate each other's guts.
      Frank: Well, that's easy enough.

    • Frank: Two division commanders - multiple complaints of sexual harassment.
Chief Wycoff: This is four senior management positions so far this month. I'm the Chief of Police, not God. Maybe you ought to just back off a little, huh?
Frank: I'll back off when you stop promoting guys on their ability to kiss your ass, Ed.

    • Frank: Oh, yeah... How are you guys liking the move up to Major Crimes?
Jill: (sarcastically) You know, love the clothing allowance.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Whie the name of the city in which the show is based is never identified, the shot of the harbor with the skyscrapers beyond was of downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The choice of the angle of the shot obscured the view of the CN Tower.
