  • The Captain & Tennille Special
The Captain (Daryl Dragon) and Tennille (his wife Toni Tennille) are both beholden to the Beach Boys: he got his start as their arranger and keyboard man, she got hers as their backup vocalist and piano player. On their own since 1973, they've become a top group-thanks to hits like "Love Will Keep Us Together," "The Way I Want to Touch You" and Lonely Night (Angel Face)."

Their performances of these songs highlight the show, which also has comedy from Art Carney (as an evangelist sermonizing on the evils of junk foods) and Roy Clark (singing "Folsom Prison Blues" a la Johnny Cash).
