The Century of Warfare is a British TV documentary in 26 highly engaging installments. First released in 1993, it attempts to tackle the massive topic of warfare in the 20th century by giving the viewer a complete overview of this violent century from World War I all the way to the Gulf War in the early 1990's. Narrated by Robert Powell, The Century of Warfare not only describes the wars and conflicts to the finest degree, it also attempts to show the psychological causes and effects of these great catastrophes and the far-reaching implications that they have had on the history of the world. The series begins with World War I and focuses on how war became modern during this conflict and continues on through the many theatres and battles of both "Great Wars."
