In last night's episode of The Chaser (2nd episode of the final season) the boys performed a skit about terminally ill children.
Chris offered hospitalised kids a pencil case and a stick in leui of meeting a favourite celebrity or a trip to Disneyland, stating "Why go to any trouble, when they're only going to die anyway."

The segment has caused a heated debate over whether they crossed the line -- making light of dying children and a charity whose aim is to support them -- or were trying to convey a message about the way some charities decide how and where funds are distributed.

I say get over yourselves. If you don't like the show, then don't watch it. It is as simple as that. Why do people watch the show just to complain? It makes little sense.

Heard all about it on radio this morning, but hadn't seen it until now. As usual mainstream media focused on the worst bits - watching it on YouTube, it's not as bad as I was expecting. Very borderline though, I'm sure there are other subjects they could approach.

They've SOLD THEIR SOULS.. absolutely disgusting and not funny. I would refrain from now watching the chaser. Quite frankly I think they're sick and selfish after last nights stunt. No support here.

To all those people who are easily offended surely by now you know what this show is about so why are you watching? Honestly nobody will remember this in a few months anyway remember the skit "in death he becomes a top bloke"? where they poked fun at steve irwin and various recently deceased aussies? People ark up and in a few months theres a new controversy. If you are easily offended DONT WATCH THIS SHOW

Huge fan of the Chaser, but really disappointed. They are running out of gags if they had to stoop to that.

I think this skit is similar to a "I'm fungry" skit they had on the CNNNN show a few years back.

I guess less people were watching back then
