    • QUOTES (1)

      • Tucker: One of the richest, most powerful men in the city has disappeared. I mean it's all over the news. And you're telling me you want to ignore that and devote copy space to... to... potato chips?
Donald: Potato chips. Tucker, for all we know that salty starch is a sign of impending apocalypse. A strange genetic mutation caused by unseen extraterrestrial bacteria. Or maybe, just maybe it might be the next evolutionary step for a root vegetable hell-bent on taking over the world. Don't dismiss the chips.

    • NOTES (1)

      • A Newsweek editor asks Tucker if he knows reporters "Edison" and "Carter". "Edison Carter" was the name of the reporter on Max Headroom.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Tucker: We're gonna need bigger darts!
Referring to a line from the monster movie Split Second (1992) where 'Dick Durkin' says, upon seeing the monster for the first time, "We're gonna need bigger guns!". This may itself be an allusion back to Jaws (1975), in which Brody warns Quint, "You're gonna need a bigger boat."
