Show Summary

In this CBS comedy created by David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik, the writers of such hits as "Friends" and "Mad About You," a group of twenty-somethings who were third-grade classmates are reunited at a surprise party 20 years later. What will happen when they find out what each other's lives are like now? The cast includes Jason Ritter as Ethan Haas, a man who planned the reunion of his fellow classmates, and who is crazy about his fiancée, but his life will turn around when his fiancée leaves him. Heather Goldenhersh plays Lina Warbler, a woman who truly believes in love, although she doesn't have that much luck in it; Lizzy Caplan is Kat Warbler, Lina's twin-sister, a cynical and sarcastical person; Jon Bernthal is Duncan Carmello, a man who still lives with his mother (Julie Halston); Sean Maguire is Kyle Lendo, a man that every girl had a crush during high school, but now he is living with his boyfriend, yes, boyfriend, Aaron. Jesse Tyler Ferguson portraits Richie, a unhappy man who's life hasn't treated him well since high school. Lucy Punch plays Holly Ellenbogen, a married woman who wants to have her revenge on Kyle. She's married to Perry Pearl (Sam Harris), who is also gay although Holly doesn't realize. Andrea Anders plays Nicole Allen, Yonk Allen's (David keith) trophy wife, who was once in a long relationship with Duncan.

Now that they finally met again, the relationships will bring back "The Class," and lots of fun is guaranteed.moreless

    • An unexpected and refreshing sit com that really pushes the envelope.

This was great. I really liked the darkness, totally unexpected in a "sit com"! Most of the other sit coms are so formulaic and everything is solved by the end but this one was truly something different. What other shows have people accidentally running someone over on their first date and then courting whiles she's in the hospital. Or when she actually killed a bunny with her high heels - I loved the gay husband and was waiting for the episode when he would come out of the closet! A daughter named Oprah? A hostage situation? I loved it! BRING IT BACK!moreless
    • The Class is available on YouTube!

I will never understand CBS's decision to cancel The Class, it was one of the funniest shows on TV. I have been waiting for over a year for the only season to come out on DVD, but there still isn't a release date. However, I am happy to say that I was able to find all of the episodes on YouTube. They come in three seperate segments, but the whole season is out there. The downside to that is, I am only reminded of how good the show really was it opened up the same wound again. I know it's just a tv show, but when they put stuff like Worst Week on, I just don't get it. It should be called Worst Show.moreless
    • The Class is one of the best sit-coms for the 00's.

The show was about a group of third grade class mates and the intertwined lives they lead at Twenty eight. The first (and only) season of the show is hilarious and works for the same reason other classic sit-coms do. Great writing, strong individual characters and a wonderful ensemble cast. The class constantly served up laugh loud situation and witty one liners during the strong first season. The Class had a lot more potential and a lot more to give. The show got consistently stronger through the first season run. What a real shame The Class is one the season one scrap heap.moreless
    • Third grade classmates reunite.

This show is so hilarious. I love the writers of this show. They are just so lovable. They gave us so much laughter and entertainment every week. God bless them! They are just so great. The show also has great storylines. Adultery, revenge, love, reunions, hospitalization, marriage to a gay man... They are just to great. Every episode is so hilarious. We have been blessed with yet another hit CBS show. This series is my new best friend. It is one of the best shows on television. It is absolutely fabulous. It is a personal favorite, and a classic, in my opinion. Unfortunately, CBS chose Rules of Engagement over this show, and it was replaced with the worst show on television: The Big Bang Theory.moreless
    • The Class is a sitcom written by David Crane (Friends) and Jeff Klarik (Mad About You) about a group of 28 year olds who shared a third grade class back in the day! It has just finished its first season and has been rejected for a second.moreless

I thought that this was going to be a sad copy of Friends that would not work but then I watched it! It was hilarious in both verbal and physical comedy, done with excellent timing! Each character had attributes that make them individual and because they are adults they each have their own lives to deal with, which is done with excellence. It is wrong that it is finished but I have heard a rumour that it is going to be taken up by ABC, message me if you have any info!

There were a few problems that I found initially with the sitcom but these also drew me to it, being that there were alot of stories going on at one time. Even though this made it slightly more confusing it also made me enjoy the sitcom more because there was something new to quench my thirst for stories.

Another problem is also that not many of the episodes finished with everything being resolved, even though this did not follow the general rules of sitcoms it did draw me to the next episode and make me want to keep watching.

The series finale was absolutly perfect! The way that Duncan and Kat used each other set up a perfect springboard into the next season. Also the Richie and Lina wedding would definatly be something to look forward to and how the whole Nicole-Duncan and Ethan-Kat situation would work itself out.

      Overall a fabulous sitcom!
