We get lost, or afraid and you know what it's like for the lost and the frightened. They lose faith in you, in themselves, in each other. So maybe you've sent us those angels or maybe maybe you just need us to believe in them. But for me, I need you. This time my faith, my belief even in the angels you might have sent my way they're not enough. They're not enough, not this time. Please, please help me. Don't let this happen again.

William: (speaking to God) L.A., City of Angels fallen or otherwise. You know more people believe in angels than in evolution? The thing about those angels is, do you really send them down here to watch over us, or is our believing in them enough? You know, faith faith is a funny thing. A fuel for some a poison to others. Your man Dr. King said, "Faith is taking the first step, even when you can't see the whole staircase." I'm not sure we ever really see the staircase. The faith here in L.A. is blind. It's the only town where you can actually die from encouragement. Los Angeles, City of Angels. Are they a leap of faith, those angels? Or did you really send some down to watch over us?
