  • It's growing on me!

    I see great potential in this spin off. The first season was a bit off due to it's goal to find their own thing, but season two has been great and has really fun elements to it. and even if it has some weak moments from time to time It has improved a great deal and it may take some time to fully establish the shows direction. To people who don't like it I will say that you all may just need some patients, they're only on their second season after all.moreless

    Like most, I will agree some episodes aren't great but people on here give the show negative ratings before the episode has even aired. What are those people hoping to prove? We get it, you don't like the show. I don't like Paris Hilton or Kylie Monogue so I AVOID them, I don't seek them out just to send abuse. How about one review where people can moan and bitch about the show and another where people can leave positive feedback for people actually looking for something new and funny to watch?moreless

  • I always considered Seth MacFarlane's shows to be very hit-and-miss. This one is pretty much miss, miss and more miss.

    Shows like Family Guy and American Dad have a lot of very funny and outrageous moments. They also often exhibit a lot of laziness, a poor central plot and some very unfunny content. It's hit and miss sometimes.
    The latest show to come out of their studio is The Cleveland Show. Their bag of jokes must have run out. Still reliant on a barrage of unrelated flashbacks that lampoon everybody from Bush to Britney Spears this show is pretty much a carbon copy of American Dad, which is a more or less carbon copy of Family Guy. Same formula, same jokes, same lack of a plot. The only difference is the fact that this show is terrible and completely unfunny.
    All of the random flashbacks and cutaways are consistently unfunny. The central plots are even less funny. To make it worse they have long, drawn out music scores that make no sense and go nowhere; and plots and stories that pretty much do the same thing.
    As usual, don't expect to moved, touched or have learned a lesson by a show like this - that's not what it's aim is. Unfortunately, also don't expect to laugh or be amused in any way.moreless
