  • The show is just not working

    "Abysmal"
This episode just added to the clarity that the shows base characters "Cleveland and his family" really do not make for a good show its just not working The racial stereotype joke's are worn out. The supporting characters do not offer much ..the red neck is a poor attempt at the red neck stereotypes The basement guy also really is a dead end to. Sad thing the newest character from this episode (Cleveland's old friend)seems to have more depth than most the other main cast characters.

It would have been better if fox picked up the new futurama instead of comedy centralmoreless

Cleveland gets a job working at waterman cable where Tim works. Cleveland sees Terry Kimpel his best friend from high school in the office and he introduces him to Tim and tells Tim a story of how Terry took the wrap for the two of them when they were caught smoking weed in high school and how Terry wanted Cleveland to make the best of the opportunity and go on to do better things and make something out of his life. They quickly catch-up with each other and Terry offers to bring Cleveland along on his calls that day. Tim prays to Jesus that Cleveland will go so he can catch up on Cleveland's sales numbers.moreless

  • It would help if the main character was interesting.

Another episode of Family Guy, and once again, I am being VERY generous with a rating of eight. I felt that this episode had a decent storyline and plot and a few decent moments and scenes, but overall, it was still quite mediocre.

I did personally enjoy seeing more of my favorite character; Tim the Bear, who is just so cute! I think the scenes with Tim were the most interesting in this episode, by far.

I felt that the humour was quite lacking, although there were a few laughs.

After this episode, quite a few of the characters are becoming annoying for me, so this is really heading downhill.

An average episode, but it is heading downhill - and fast.moreless

  • Have to admit this show has started to grow on me.

I guess when you're Seth McFarlane and Fox offers to bring your show back, you can pretty much write you're own ticket, which explains American Dad and The Cleveland Show. Similar to American Dad, The Cleveland Show has begun to grow on me. I wasn't too thrilled about the first episode but I really enjoyed this one. While it's borrowing heavily from Family Guy (the non-sequester scenes, 3 extra friends and the bar, down to the moving neon sign)it still working on creating its own niche in the McFarlane sphere. I can't say a talking bear is out of place any more than a talking dog or fish. Here, the bear, Tim, helps Cleveland get a job and then Cleveland starts to outperform him. In a fit of jealousy he prays to Jesus that something bad happens and Cleveland's friend crashes the company truck but Cleveland takes the fall.

In the B episode we see Jr. obsessive behavior is due to the divorce and the step children help him cry it out by holding a roast for him. I have to admit I found this part touching, in a Seth McFarlane way. Back to Cleveland, after Tim confesses, Cleveland confronts his boss, realizes he has a mad on for his friend and offers to tell him "manly" stories in exchange for keeping his job, that and driving the truck so as not to interfere with Tim.

Overall a decent episode. I'm noticing The Cleveland show is getting better with each episode. Hopefully it will grow into it's own and make for an enjoyable Sunday Animation Domination. Now, about American Dad...moreless

we finally meet one of the characters in the op clevelands old and dearest friend from high school. he seems like a decent character too. i hope to see more of him in the future. the joke of this ep was disturbing DX. its funny but at the same time gross and i really hope it doesn't become this shows bath tub or coolwhip.
it was nice of rollo and roberta to help cleveland jr. get over the issues he still has from their parents divorce. though its kinda odd coming from them considering their father was rarely around and their parents were never married so they wouldn't know anything about divorce.
better episode but this show is still greatly lacking in comedy compared to family guymoreless
