Episode Summary

When a man believed to have murdered two young women is found dead in Elysian Fields, evidence points to his victims' families. Brenda and the team must then wade through the suspects to find the true killer.

A pretty straight forward tale where you weren't suppose to know who the killer was until the end but if you paid attention to the clues you knew right away who was guilty.

Det "O" Olin played by Tom Skerritt had lost a great deal of weight. He was having problems with his digestive tract. He was obviously uncomfortable in general. He had motive for the killing as well. He was aware of the fact the bodies supposedly had been buried in those fields. It was his one big unsolved case during his career. In the end once we found out he lost his prostate that pretty much settled it. He was obviously dieing of cancer.

The other parts that bothered me was the fact he had the family of the two girls all lined up to show to the press. If there was a less careful detective in charge all the key evidence probably would have gone down the drain and the killing of Greeson would have gone unsolved with no one caring one way or another.

Interesting situation to put Johnson in. If you're going to have justice is that justice for some or for all? It's sort of the reverse of the last episode in which the division was more interested in finding the cop killers than solving the situation with the teenager that was shot on the scene.

Unfortunately policemen are human like the rest of us and with that comes human emotion and thoughts. I think this show does a good job of portraying that in a reasonable and judicious way from week to week which may account for the popularity of the show.

So even though I knew who was guilty from the start it still was an entertaining show filled with emotion and drama. Thanks for reading...moreless
