  • simplistic plot/episode

    7.5
This episode seemed contrived. On the one hand, I liked that Brenda did not 'get her man' this time because the name of the show notwisthstanding it's more interesting if every now and then an episode does not end with the usual triumph. On the other hand, the reveals about the lawyer's true nature were totally predictable and as well as the actor did portraying a cold blooded smooth-moving sociopath, his character also came off flat and uninteresting (i blame the writing). The little exchange between Brenda and Fritz part way through was too short - I like it when there is more of those two. In fact, this ep was a too light on subplots in general and I missed the chance to enjoy some of the other characters. I also found it implausible really the whole lawyer thing, that they would open up their investigation files to him like that - i really did not buy it. I see the episode has a high rating, but for me it was merely watchable.moreless
  • Has Brenda met her match?

    10
Calm, collected and well versed with the legal and justice systems, this lawyer is every bit the defense guy you want and the opponent you hate. This episode was out of this world, seeing brenda fail to pulloff a last minute confession or watching the whole division looking at their crimanal walk away without a shred of remorse and with a swager in his step, most likely like he did walking away from the crime scene, this was by far the most intriging episode of the season. Given the way it ended i belive we might see the lawyer again in the future but this was an ending to remember.moreless
  • Great episode with No Closer ending. Has Brenda met her match?

    9.0
Has Brenda met her match in this episode? A man is found hiding in a tree near a murder scene and is tied to five other rapes. His slimy lawyer tries to setup a deal to get him a light sentence in exchange for an accomplice. When it comes time to name the accomplice, we get a big twist. The lawyer if fingered as the accomplice. This was the plan by the lawyer the whole time, so he could see the evidence and find out what the police had as evidence. The lawyer uses his slippery tongue to get away with the crimes. I think this has been one of the better episodes of the season. I had a lot of emotion when I realized it was the lawyer and that he was getting away with it, for now. I think Brenda will get him in another episode or this guy will get away with more rapes in other episodes. But in the end he will get his comeuppance.moreless
  • Nemesis

    9.5
Seems like Brenda has finally found her nemesis.

The lawyer of her suspect pushes towards a deal with DA Garnett in exchange for revealing his client's accomplice but after seeing all the evidence there was in the rape and murder cases he has his client tell his own name. All the witnesses are not able to identify him properly since they saw him before, there is no evidence there to link him to the cases (which he made sure) and Brenda and the team have no further links to go on (so far). I would no be surprised to see that Nemesis of Brenda again since she has promised to catch him.

    Brilliant Episode!moreless
