Episode Summary

Sgt. Gabriel comes under investigation for shooting a homicide suspect when the facts don't add up. The internal investigation gets in the way of the original murder investigation, leaving the entire team tied up in knots.

"Perfect"

Its a very interesting episode. Since Detective Daniels, Gabriel's former lover got promoted he starting to go into a spiral and possibly maybe becoming an alcoholic, but what we are also seeing is that he is starting to feel unappreciated and not wanted in the MCD. WHat this episode does for him is to get his confidence up, but more importantly helps Gabriel get closure from his relationship with Daniels

Sgt Gabriel and Capt. Taylor are at a bar when gunfire erupts outside. Gabriel races outside. A man is shot dead in front of a newspaper stand. A second is fleeing the scene. When the Sgt. yells stop two shots are fired at him and the Sgt. fires back.moreless

One of the most difficult times in a policeman's life is when he/she is forced to pull a weapon and use deadly force. Then when it occurs and you are firing to defend yourself and things just speed up. Luckily for Sgt. Gabriel, Deputy Johnson is a thorough person. She never doubted him and found the evidence that exonerated him.

You feel bad for the boys and I am sure that they thought they were striking a blow for their family and the country but this is a perfect example of taking things into your own hands. The gentlemen they killed wasn't Muslim, but Jewish. Of course really that is irrelevant as he was an American and one would hope in this country we see everyone else as Americans until proven otherwise.

Capt. Raydor is a piece of work. Of course she is just doing her job and being familiar with the LAPD I know that job couldn't be easy. I have worked in that market for the last six years and there is always something going on with that department or the Sheriff's department over some kind of irregularity. I would think hers to be a thankless job.

As we witnessed the crime there was no doubt that Gabriel was innocent, but it was interesting to see the process and how the proof is brought forward.

One of the better shows on television. Kyra Sedgwick can be proud of the part she plays and the show she has the lead part in. The Closer consistently is one of the best procedural's on television and this episode was a shining example of the show. Thanks for reading...moreless

"Perfect"

Every episode of The Closer gets better and better and this episode was no exception. We start out with realizing that Sgt. Gabriel is still obsessing over Det. Daniels (who was promoted last season). We kind of see that he may have a drinking problem when shots are heard outside. Gabriel runs outside to see what the commotion was and shots are fired back at him and he takes two shots and hits the suspect. Twists and turns throughout the episode reveal that he feels since letting Brenda down that she may not trust him as much and it is shown in this episode that their relationship is definitely strained. I love that Lt. Provenza is in love and we do not know who with! This show is a gem among a lot of bad shows right now, but TNT definitely knows what they are doing!moreless
