Episode Summary
EDITAs they are leaving Chief Delk's memorial service, the team is called to investigate the death of a young lady who was house sitting for a vacationing family. Suspicion immediately falls on one of the dead girl's professors, a man with a history of inappropriate behavior with his students. As the team digs deeper, it turns out that the robbery is one of a series and has a connection to the son of the vacationing family.
Meanwhile, the fallout from the civil lawsuit continues as Captain Raydor is ordered to broaden her investigation and interview everyone on Brenda's team by Interim Police Chief Pope, who seems mostly interested in getting the job permanently.

Brenda: Professor Banks, uh, we have just finished arresting all those responsible for the murder of Ashley Reed.
Professor Alex Banks: All those responsible for the murder of Ashley Reed. Good for you. Of course, the real irony here is, if I had actually been having an affair with Ashley, if I walked her to the door and gone inside... she might still be alive.
Brenda: Well, that's the best justification for adultery I've heard in a long time.
