So we find out that the investigation has put three officers on hold. Both Provenza and Sanchez are on leave pending and IA investigation and Brenda is on paid administrative leave. I have no idea why she is on leave, but whatever. Enter the CIA, Brenda’s former employer. (The LAPD has a close personal relationship with the FBI, guess now it is the CIA’s turn). Taylor has taken over the room and the squad returned to their original posts. Well there is a murder that Taylor is sucking at solving that has the CIA interested. Brenda is summoned through code and secret locations to help solve this murder and find an informant. In return her squad, in whole, will be reinstated. She takes the assignment, but of course in liberal with the rules. In the end all turns out ok and the PHD is back in action.moreless
  • Exactly what I like!

Kept me on the edge! I always try to figure out who the good or bad guy is in the begging to see if I called it right or wrong. This one had me stumped, and I like that. Some shows you can figure the story out before the first commercial and that's not any fun. I like to read mystery novels, and the good one keep me on the guessing edge. That is what this 2 part episode did for me. Fun and exciting to watch. This one could definatley had a part three to it without a problem.moreless
  • of why you should watch this series!!

    10
My two favorite characters in this series are Brenda and Provenza. It was great to watch them team up as the "outsiders" at the beginning. Brenda's character is absolutely fantastic and Kyra Sedgwick is to be commended for her performances and ability to bring this character to life.

I think my favorite thing about this show is the way Brenda puts things together. It's always when she's doing something totally different than the piece she puts together with the case. And let's not forget "that bag."

    LMAO!!!

A marvelous show. KUDOS to TNT for continuing it. Here's hoping it will continue for many more seasons.

the writers pulled out all the stops with the " where not playing by atlant rules any more yal" lines that renorvate with this episode we find that brenday has to solve a crime behind the lapds back for the cia useing her squad and as alwase camander talor cant have his foot in his mouth any firther or risk it coming out the other side, this episode is the culmination of al the preveouse episodes proving brendas statement " after working with you for the past sevral mounths i can conseave any fair department in the contry where i wouldn't out rank you!" an must see episode for any true fanmoreless
  • Race against time amid turfwars with the feds yet again!

Brenda is glad to be back with her team as She was afraid to lose her team despite differences

With them. As she may have been given false information from

Her former work, the CIA, who also wants the terrorists for their own gain.

And she will need the help of everybody around her to make sure that the terrorist doesn't go free and not into the CIA hands. Kyra Sedgwick is the only reason I watch this show as she makes Brenda come to life.moreless

    • Provenza: I like it right there. Your picture.
Brenda: Lieutenant Provenza, what are you doing here, it's late?! Why aren't you home?
Provenza: Course ideally, you would, you know, hang it up right now and put it back where it belongs, or pragmatically, you might just sit it down on the floor, but you see, your instinct is to split the difference, so that even if it's not perfectly placed, you can still see it.
      Brenda: Aren't you tired?
Provenza: Yeah. Yeah, but I hadn't been here in a while and I don't know, I kinda missed the place. Plus before he left tonight Flynn piled up my desk with every coffee cup in the joint, old case files, I think he even brought a little trash from his house. So I just thought before I cleaned it up, I might, uh, take you, uh, out to breakfast.
Brenda: You know someplace fast and cheap?
Provenza: Fast and cheap is my specialty. So c'mon, let's grab a bite to eat, then when we get back here, I'll hang your picture up so you don't go nuts!
Brenda: Well, how could I refuse an invitation like that? Just give me one second.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Goof: At the end of the episode, Dr. al-Thani asks Brenda in the van whether Malik was alive or dead. But minutes later, it is clear that he killed Viotski in retaliation for killing his son so he obviously already knew that Malik had been murdered.

    • This episode was directed by Kevin Bacon who is married to Kyra Sedgwick.
