The Clothes Show

Show Summary

The Clothes Show is a British video magazine that focuses on the European fashion world and how people can get a hold of the latest trends for less. Designer Jeff Banks created the show in 1986, and he stars in the first two episodes as a savvy fashion reporter scouting the catwalk. His co-host, ex-TV newsreader Selina Scott, goes inside the dressing room, taking a closer look at the stressful atmosphere behind the scenes before every show. Fashion editor Caryn Franklin joins the hosts to give viewers a detailed analysis of fashion week as it occurs. Together, the trio teaches viewers how to look, act and dress like a top model on a meager budget. Caryn later replaces the two hosts and adds singer Louise Redknapp and Irish stylist Brendan Courtney to her entourage of fashion reporters. Throughout the series, producer Susan Brand catches The Clothes Show hosts off-guard, which produces some unexpected events in the dressing room and on the runway.
