The show opens with a teaser of content from the show, which involves everything from a oil prices to Veteran's Day.
Stephen gets right into news about Paul McCartney singing to the folks in the space station.
Stephen quickly moves onto the Congressional Hearings about the excessive oil profits.
Stephen then moves on to "This Week in History." The topics were mostly war-related, which brings us into tonight's "The Word", which is Armistice. Veteran's Day, in Stephen's opinion, is becoming less and less important, just becoming a day to rake the leaves.
Back from commercial, Stephen welcomes tonight's guest, Cokie Roberts. They discussed politics and her marriage, which continues after nearly forty years.
Back from commercial, Stephen answers viewer mail.
Back from commercial, Stephen introduces a new segment, "The Da Colbert Code," which allows for Stephen to look at important questions, and answer them, using odd ways of thinking. So, who killed President Kennedy? Jackie Kennedy. Will Rove be indicted? Yes. Will the Senate confirm Judge Alito to the Supreme Court? No.
The final segment was probably the highlight of the show, which I admit is a little odd. I hope this becomes a regular thing.
