    I love the censorship on this page, I guess you have learned from people like Colbert if you say something different to your beliefs have it taken off the page, so much for freedom of speech I guess.

    Colbert's dad prounouced it Col-bear and the majority of his sibs say Col-bert. Stephen likes Col-bear better. He's actually majority Irish.

Originally, the name was pronounced "Col-bert", but Colbert's father had always wanted to pronounce the name "Col-BARE", remaining "Col-bert" only out of respect for his own father.
