The show opens with a teaser of content from the show, which involves everything from Richard Preston and small pox.
Stephen starts off sad, and shows a panda bear, and a dog, painted like a panda, but Stephen's pretty sad, and doesn't get to enjoy it. Stephen goes into the sad news about Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham, who resigned from Congress after confessing to taking bribes. Stephen can't help but get emotional, after Mr. Cunningham does.
Stephen transitions into tonight's edition of "The Word", which is "confidence". He focuses on Canada, where there was a corruption scandal, which led to a vote of no confidence.
Stephen then shows a piece of footage where a huge robot is tearing up a car, and sets it on fire, just before taking a commercial break.
Back from commercial, Stephen talks about scare mongering in the media about the recent fears of bird flu. Stephen wonders just how bad the bubonic plague really was. Stephen suggests that there were certain upsides to the plague, just think of all of the new gravedigger jobs that were created. Somehow Stephen turns this into a rant on how some summer he didn't get to have sex with a girl.
Back from commercial, Stephen welcomes tonight's guest, Richard Preston. Mr. Preston gave Stephen the facts on the potential problems with Small Pox, and it was without a doubt, the most disgusting interview I've ever seen.
The show ends with a photo slide show of the expensive gifts Randy "Duke" Cunningham will no longer get to have.
This was a really funny episode. The rant and the interview were hilarious.
