Episode Summary

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello host this episode telecast from Washington, D.C. for Eisenhower's inauguration . Their guests include: Victor Borge; singers Gisele MacKenzie and Allan Jones; dancer Grace Hartman; A&C stalwarts Sid Fields, Bobby Barber and Harry Lang; The Four Pipers; R. J. Otis and Abner; and the Hollywood Stunt Group. Miss MacKenzie sings "Don't Let the Stars Get In Your Eyes"; Allan Jones performs "So In Love" and a medley of "Make Believe", "Falling In Love With Love" and "Donkey Serenade". Speaking of donkeys: In one comedy sketch, Lou works with one that's not interested in hitting his cues, leading to lots of ad-libbing.moreless
