What is this exactly? is it supposed to be the location of their warehouse? It looks kinda populated to me.

Yes that is suppose to be where the wherehouse is. If you look on google streetview there are ad's allover the wharehouse saying "For rent for filming" or something along the lines of it so it must be a poupluar place to film.

After seeing last Tuesday's epsoide with the hosptial trip who here thinks the location of the show was a bad idea from the start? For those who don't know the location of Linda Vista (A poupular place to film BTW) it is here:

    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=S+Anderson+St&daddr=Linda+Vista+Hospital+%4034.039111,-118.217354&geocode=FbBqBwIdxwj0-A%3BFUdlBwIddiX0-A&hl=en&mra=mi&mrsp=0&sz=16&dirflg=w&sll=34.039396,-118.223684&sspn=0.008659,0.019205&ie=UTF8&ll=34.041796,-118.22053&spn=0.008659,0.019205&t=h&z=16

(Linda Vista is point B on that map, the Waharehouse is point A).

Which begs the question? How did the Colonists get over there with out seeing any civlation?

Keep the wharehouse I like that =p but they should have put this in like a Modern Ghost Town (Anyone have an example?) where they could go to the river, the streets, the hospital with out haveing to run into the world outside.

The show is so awesome because it gives us a look at possibilities if something major happened to put us in that situation.

Obviously it would be practically impossible to have it setup perfect, however it does give us the opportunity to plan.

If we planned the ideal spot to be and had plans to go there if something were to happen, then we would hopefully be more likely to survive.

This show allows us to come up with ideas we may never had thought of before and shows how important peer support is.

Psst...I'll let you on a show that is on the same time as The Colony. It's called Surviving Disater.

Tuesday at 10 PM on SPIKE TV.

I like it because you have a greater chance to be in the situations presented in SD (Burning office building) then the scenario in The Colony.

Gary, Indiana would've been a great place to film this. That place is a mess.

I found a sweet place where they could have done it. Itwas an old film lot called RKO forty acres in Culver City.

Well I did some digging and found out that the warehouse used in The Colony is the very SAME location claimed to be the "secret" hideout of the Masked Magician. In one of his televised reveals, he was on the roof of his "secret" warehouse and levitated to the ground. Where he then stood in front of a white building, with train tracks leading to it, and a sign reading "APEX FUEL SUPPLY".

Now, in several outside shots during episodes of The Colony, train tracks can be seen leading to a white building, with a sign reading- X F L Supply; the "APE" being blurred out and the "UE" being covered by duct work.

I have two screen captures except I'm not sure how to post them here...

    Now that you mention it.........

I did say earlier that it must be a poupluar place to film.

Not trying to steal any thunder, just trying to cite a specific example of another show using that building.

I think they only gave the direction, not the actual coordinates, which would be 32*34'25.80'' N from their current position, something like 120 miles away.
