This episode marks the first time that a boxer was knocked out, when Anthony defeated Brent in only three rounds.
The match between Anthony and Brent ends 38 seconds into the third round due to a knock-out. It is the shortest match in the history of The Contender.
This episode title is unofficial.
Original Ratings: 3.6/6.
Jesse: A coward will die many times. A soldier will die once.
Ishe: (About Anthony and his choices - Jimmy being a hyena and Brent being a tiger) He went from a hyena to a tiger.
Jimmy: (About Anthony) Brent, kick his ass.
Anthony: Anyone can be a father, but not everyone can be a dad.
Jesse: I'd really like to go do something outside. Mow my lawn, water my grass, spank the kids.
Jesse: I'm so bored. We have cabin fever.
Anthony: To Hell with the team. Everyone thinks I'm gonna pick Jimmy Lange. I'm gonna surprise everyone.
This is the first fight to end in a knockout.
The West Side again wins the challenge, this time especially motivated; Anthony asks his team to push harder so that he can challenge "his" man, Jimmy, to the fight.
The East celebrates their first reward with Jay Leno, as they visit his show and meet him, taking pictures and getting autographs signed.
There is a lot of controversy in this episode, mainly due to the fact that Anthony Bonsante swears to his teammates that he will choose to fight Jimmy Lang. He later picks Brent Cooper, who Joey Gilbert is actually "scheduled" to fight. Because of his "betrayal," most of Anthony's team, the West, actually roots for Bren during the fight.
Anthony Bonsante wins his fight against Brent Cooper in this episode.
For the reward, the East team went to a live airing of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
