Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford appear as themselves hosting their morning talk show, where suspected murderer Desmond Pierce is promoting his new book.
Sully: You know, you've been a cop for twenty years and you think you've seen everything. But I have to bail you out of a morning talk show?
Jeffrey: Hey, Hanky-Panks, how's it hangin'?
Guy Hanks: I will go get in the bed, and when Jeffrey comes to the door, you tell him I have the flu and I can't do anything with him this weekend.
Angie: Mr. Hanks, you can't do that.
Guy Hanks: Don't tell me what I can't do! I can do it if you help me!
Writer Terence Winter went on to become an award-winning writer and producer on The Sopranos.
Lynn Whitfield and Mos Def do not appear in this episode.
This episode is reminiscent of Alfred Hitchock's 1954 film Rear Window, in which Jimmy Stewart thinks he has witnessed a murder in a neighbor's apartment but cannot get anyone to believe his story.
