      • "Rosebud..."

In his conversation with Sears Cushing, Guy mentions "Rosebud" when Sears talks about his obsession with finding his childhood copy of The Scarlet Pimpernel. In the 1941 film Citizen Kane, millionaire Charles Foster Kane's last word is "Rosebud." It was the name of his sled as a boy, his favorite possession, and the one thing he wanted back in spite of all of his gain and success.
