During the scene when Olivia is painting the living room, Rudy reveals that she found a violin and proceeds to play it fluently. In season four's "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," Rudy was forced to play the violin for school.
Goof: Rudy recalls the incident in which Cliff sat on Charlie, his pet bird, and metions that Charlie was canary. But in the episode, "Is There a Hamster in the House," Cliff tells the children that Charlie was a finch.
Song in the first scene:
There's trouble in the Huxtable house tonight, Rudy and Olivia had a fight. Rudy can't stand what Olivia does. Living with a kid is never fun. She went in her drawers, and messed with her stuff. Rudy has had it; enough's enough. Cliff came in, Clair did too. Blaimed the mess on Rudy, said "Child, we're through."
Now Rudy's asleep in her bed. But the're trouble brewing in her head! Blaimed by Cliff, accused by Clair. She wants Olivia out of her hair. There's trouble in the Huxtable house tonight!
(After being told to eat liver)
Olivia: "Ew, I hate liver. It tastes icky."
Clair: "Oh, but it's so good for you."
Olivia: "If it's so good for you, why don't you eat it?"
Clair: "What did you just say to me, young lady?"
Olivia: "I said, you eat it. Please."
Clair: "Okay." (starts eating)
Clair: "Oh, but Rudy she said 'please.'"
Olivia (turns to Cliff): "You eat it too. Please."
Cliff: "Please doesn't work on me."
Olivia: "I'll be your best friend."
(Cliff starts eating)
Cliff: "I want to be her best friend."
During the end credits of this episode, nobody says, "The Cosby Show is taped before a studio audience" at the very end.
Besides "The Last Barbeque", this never happens during season 7.
This episode's title is a reference to the "Nightmare on Elm Street" horror-movie series.
This is the first appearance of Aaron Beener as Olivia's friend Marlon.
Karen Malina White, Erica Alexander, and Tempestt Bledsoe are the Musical Chorus during the dream, and they got that idea from the musical Little Shop of Horrors.
The title, "Nightmare on Stigwood Avenue" is an allusion to the Nightmare on Elm Street horror film series.
