Clair is upset when Cliff considers another offer to run a relay against Tailwind Turner, as she is afraid that he will injure himself. She tries to convince him that a rematch is not necessary because he actually beat Tailwind in their last race. Tailwind calls and tells Cliff that he actually wants him to be his teammate in a charity race at the Penn Relays. Cliff will run the anchor leg against a man who is reportedly out of shape. Cliff trains hard and is very excited about the race. His team takes the lead, and appears to have the win clinched when an opponent apparently injures his leg. However, the other team suddenly replaces its anchor leg with Valerie Brisco-Hooks, a triple gold-medalist (200, 400 and 4 x 400 Relay) from the 1984 Olympics. She blows by Cliff, patting him on the rear as she passes. Cliff is not upset that Tailwind and the others set him up because he was thrilled by the chance to run against an Olympic champion. Meanwhile, Rudy begins performing chores around the house to earn the money to buy her favorite doll, Mega Woman.
