  • Good history lesson.

Once in a while TV shows have to help us learn somethings. Yes The Cosby Show is a sit-com and they brilliantly used their popularity to remind everyone one of the most important date in US history: The Washington March. It was for peace and equality between all the citizens of the United States of America regardless of their race, religion, sex, age... Old people were able to relieve this day and young people, who weren't around when it occured, had a chance to learn it for maybe the first time. I think they really did a good job to make everyone aware of this important day.moreless
  • Theo has to rewrite his paper for history class. After reading it to his parents and grandparents all of the adults recall memories of the march on Washington.

This episode was okay. It wasn't incredibly well-written and was more of a chance to pay homage to Martin Luther King, Jr. The recollections of the march on Washington, D.C. were nice but then it transcended into quite hammy when the one man began singing a song they sang on the buses on the ride to Washington. That seemed quite forced.

    • Vanessa tells Cliff that the boy she wants to ask to the Turnaround Dance is especially cute because his voice cracks. She says he answered a question in class with a cracky "Suez Canal."
Later, when she calls the boy, she tells him that he doesn't know her very well, but that she is in his science class.
Now, what kind of science question can be answered with Suez Canal?
