Goof: Denise introduces both Clair and Sondra to her roommate Phyllis. Clair was down at Hillman earlier that year, however, and should have already been introduced to Denise's roommate.
Goof: Denise takes a puppy calendar off of the wall and covers her sexy man calendar with it so her mom won't see. When her mom comes in her room, you can still see the puppy calendar on the wall that Denise took it from. When they leave the room, the puppy calendar is now covering the man calendar again.
Lee Weaver, who plays the waiter in this episode, played the recurring character of Brian Kincaid, the brother of Bill Cosby's character Chet Kincaid in Cosby's hit The Bill Cosby Show in 1969-70.
The sound coming from the television when Cliff & Clair enter the living room with Mr. and Mrs. Kelly was also used in season one's "The Younger Woman".

The family decides to pull a practical joke on Cliff because he claims that they've never been able to fool him. Apparently he forgot about the time they all pretended to prepare an elaborate gourmet dinner, making sure he would overhear the activity, then served him a mushroom pizza on his birthday.
Goof: In the scene in which Clair and Cliff are talking in the kitchen and Clair has her back turned to Cliff at the sink, the camera goes from Clair and the flowers - which are still wrapped in paper - cuts briefly to Cliff, and then back to Clair, who is now facing him with the flowers all perfectly arranged in water in the vase behind her.
This episode marked the return of Phylicia Rashad as a full-time cast member, after the birth of daughter Condola Rashad.
Mrs. Granger says that her husband's name is Ennis, which is the name of Bill Cosby's son in real life.
Goof: When Cliff speaks to the Hispanic couple at the hospital, the wife replies "Como?" because she does not understand English. Typically, native Hispanics who don't understand English will reply either "Que?" (What?) or "No comprendo" (I don't understand) when they address you if you try to talk to them in English. "Como" is actually "how" in Spanish.
Tico Wells, who played a medical student named Jerry, would later play Dr. Taylor in the season five episode "The Birth" as the physician who delivered Sondra and Elvin's twins.
For this episode, Tempestt Bledsoe's hairstyle changes from long and straight during previous episodes to long dreadlocks for the rest of Season 3.

In an earlier episode Clair, Cliff and the children get their grandparents a painting as an anniversary gift. This painting can be seen hanging on the wall in the grandparent's home in this episode.

At the end of the episode, Theo and Cliff are drinking a soda. Cliff pours half of his in a glass and begins drinking it. When the camera pans for the end of the episode, the bottle that cliff set down is once again full.
Goof: Towards the end of the episode, Cliff Huxtable is sitting in the living room with his father Russell, Sgt. Stokes, and Homer. He is telling them of an incident that happened while he was in Bermuda.
He is using dominoes to explain his story. At first there are about six or seven dominoes standing up on their sides. The camera angle switches, and all the dominoes are flat on the table. It goes on for a minute or so with the dominoes lying flat on the table. Then when Russell, Sgt. Stokes, and Homer get up to go for a walk, the dominoes are standing up again.
Goof: The last scene of this episode, Cliff had tiles set up to show some maneuvers he did in the Navy. It showed a row of tiles standing up, then on the next shot all of the tiles were lying flat. Then back to standing up again.
Why would Tyrone have difficulties pronouncing Huxtable when he was talking to Cliff, but when he came to the house and Theo let him in, he mentioned his name (Tyrone Baxter) and Vanessa with her last name (Huxtable) pronouncing perfectly the "xt" he supposedly couldn't pronounce when he was talking to Cliff?
When Vanessa walks down the steps and drops all her papers, they are shown on the steps, then off the steps and then on again.
