Why would Tyrone have difficulties pronouncing Huxtable when he was talking to Cliff, but when he came to the house and Theo let him in, he mentioned his name (Tyrone Baxter) and Vanessa with her last name (Huxtable) pronouncing perfectly the "xt" he supposedly couldn't pronounce when he was talking to Cliff?
When Vanessa walks down the steps and drops all her papers, they are shown on the steps, then off the steps and then on again.
This is the third episode which Peter runs out of the house, this time because he doesn't want to help Rudy take care of the stray dog.
The cooking show that Cliff watched was Justin Wilson's Louisiana Cookin'.
As Cliff and Clair are flipping through the TV channels, before the remote stops working, Cliff comes across an educational program about the history of the drum. This same program was on their TV a year earlier in "Rudy Suits Up" when Cliff, Theo and Sondra are watching TV. We can now watch reruns of the Huxtables watching reruns.
From this point on in this season Clair is pregant and they hide it like with the the big bear and the groceries in front of her. In the the next episode, you can see how they cut out some of the bed so she would be down at a level without seeing her stomach.
When Cliff asks Rudy what's her boyfriend's name, you can hear a man off-camera saying "Bud" before Rudy answers.
Vanessa tells Cliff that the boy she wants to ask to the Turnaround Dance is especially cute because his voice cracks. She says he answered a question in class with a cracky "Suez Canal."
Later, when she calls the boy, she tells him that he doesn't know her very well, but that she is in his science class.
Now, what kind of science question can be answered with Suez Canal?
In the season 2 opener, First Day of School, it already seems like Vanessa is wearing eyeshadow and lipstick.
Goof: Cliff and Theo keep referring to pulpeta as a sausage, but it is actually a Cuban style meatloaf. They are correct, however, about pulpeta containing boiled eggs. The ground meat is cooked around three peeled hard boiled eggs
This is the second episode in which Peter runs out of the house, this time after hearing the news that the Huxtables have a snake in the house.
Goof: Theo and Cliff walk into the kitchen and Cliff sets the basketball on the counter. Theo walks upstairs. When the camera is back on the counter the basketball is gone.
Since Russell, Cliff & Claire are all Hillman graduates and Russell wasinformed of Cliff's antics at school, shouldn't Russell already know Dr. Foster?
Goof: At the end of Pinochle, Dr. Foster mentions the rule of the rubbing of the head if all tricks are taken, and Russell says there is still one trick left. However, before Cliff had said that after a hand had been won the score was now tied which meant Russell and Homer had to have taken at least one.
Goof: Theo says he couldn't get his "apartment" lights turned on because he didn't have enough money for the deposit and that "Mrs. Griswald" (Rudy) owns the electric company. Public utilities are not privately owned by an individual.
Actually, Theo always had two twin beds...later when Denise and Martin move in there, you can see that they pushed two beds together to make a king sized bed...I don't know why Theo never did that.
When did Theo even get two beds? Was a second one hidden under all his junk? Even in Theo and the Older Woman, when he cleaned up his room for Denise's friend, I only remember seeing one bed.
I've thought of this in many other episodes, but it makes sense to mention it here. When Theo tries to buy his bed from "Amanda," she says the two beds come as a set. It's always bothered me-- why does Theo need two beds in his room if he's the only occupant? Wouldn't it make more sense to have only one bed in the room and use the space the second bed would take up to house a storage unit of some sort, since Theo is such a slob, or have one double bed instead of two twins? Theo even says he only needs one bed.
It's funny how Mr. Weewax asked Theo how old he was because Margot said that the landlord (Mr. Weewax) had already said that a boy who was 18 (Theo) was looking for an apartment.
Also, why didn't Mr. Weewax just turn Theo down in the first place because he already knew he was 18?
Goof: When Clair is sitting on the front porch talking to Mrs. Westlake, she is wearing a purple plaid dress with fringe on the sleeves, but minutes later when she is in the kitchen with Vanessa and Denise, she is wearing a tan pants suit with a red sweater. When and why did she change clothes? Rudy and Cliff are still wearing the same clothes they had on in the last scene.
