Early in the episode, Rudy brings up Theo's antics from the series Pilot episode and the season three episode "Bald and Beautiful".
In the scene where Jake is telling Cliff about the car accident, there are three little tubes of glue, but at the end, the glue has changed to three big bottles.
During the scene when Olivia is painting the living room, Rudy reveals that she found a violin and proceeds to play it fluently. In season four's "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," Rudy was forced to play the violin for school.
Goof: Rudy recalls the incident in which Cliff sat on Charlie, his pet bird, and metions that Charlie was canary. But in the episode, "Is There a Hamster in the House," Cliff tells the children that Charlie was a finch.
Russell and Anna's 55th anniversary would not occur until October 1991 because the 2 previous anniversary episodes both occurred in October - the 49th in October 1985, Happy Anniversary, and the 50th in October 1986, Golden Anniversary. They should have waited until the fall of the next season to show this episode.
Rudy says that the last time some of Anna and Russell's friends visited them was during their 50th anniversary, and she got rich because they gave her money. In the actual episode of Golden Anniversary however, the only guests at Anna and Russell's dinner party were the immediate family and Elvin. Where are these other guests Rudy claimed gave her money?
Kris and Clair goof as they hand their husbands the fruit cups after busting them trying to eat sweets.
In this episode, which aired in February 1991, the Huxtables are celebrating their 27th anniversary. This means that they were married in 1964. In the episode, It Comes and Goes, Clair refers to a Memorial Day weekend in 1967 when Sondra was three years old. This means that Sondra was born before May of 1964. If Cliff and Clair were married in February, 1964, then that means that either Sondra was born before they were married or Clair was pregnant with her when they got married!!!!
This episode is supposed to have Cliff and Clair celebrating their 27th anniversary. Why did they skip over the 25th? They had big celebrations for Russell and Anna's 49th & 50th anniversaries, so why not the 25th? Silver anniversaries are usually big occasions to most people.
During the course of the episode, Cliff starts to get sick, running a fever. If Cliff were really as sick as he was, how could he taste the soup? Most people struggling with a cold can't smell or taste anything because their sinuses are clogged.
The video Rudy and Olivia watch is a play on the 1981 classic, "An American Werewolf in London".
When the two women are sitting in the living room and laughing, Clair's dress is half red and half magenta. However, the colors somehow leap from left to right and vice-versa.
The two decide to sleep in Clair and Cliff's because they were frightened by the scary video. Rudy comes into the room and tells Olivia that she turned off all the lights in the house and set booby traps. Then the kids go to sleep. When Clair and Cliff get home, the lights in the living room are turned on, even after Rudy said she shut off all the lights. Clair and Cliff did not turn them on; they were already on when they opened the door.
If Cliff wanted to win the pinochle tournament so badly, why did he ask Dr. Harmon to be his partner? Wouldn't Russell have been the better choice since he always beats Cliff when they play together, or perhaps Dr. Foster, who helped Cliff beat Russell?
While talking to Ray on the phone, Cliff says, "When she gets out of the bathroom..." but Ray never mentioned she was in the bathroom.
At the beginning of the episode, when Cliff tries to sneak chocolate doughnuts and milk, is a reference to the Bill Cosby, Himself chapter, "Breakfast".
Toward the end of the episode, Martin said Denise is at the library. But aren't libraries usually closed on Sundays? Also add the fact that it was evening time after the guys returned from helping Walter and Nancy move.
This is the first mentioning of Theo's friend Cockroach since the season four episode "Dance Mania" (which was the character's last appearance). It would be the last time he was mentioned for the rest of the series.
Clair sets the chairs for dinner adding the two high-chairs for Winnie and Nelson but when they sit for dinner where Cliff and Clair are playing a joke on the kids, the twins aren't there or in the living room anymore.
Clair picks up the cups and asks the twins what they want: milk, water or juice. One of them clearly answers, "Juice," and yet she takes them water.
