Here's how this goes... tell your favorite character, why they are your favorite and a quote from them! I'll start.

Franklin Sherman. Lets face it, he is the funniest character on the show.

"I'm not wearing pants. I split my pants and now I'm not wearing pants."

Did someone delete all of the old threads for this show? Because there used to be a thread for this back in the day...

Jay is an obvious favorite, so I'll pick someone else...

Doris. She makes fun of everyone and the late Doris Grau's voice really made her believable!

Doris: After 50 years in the makeup business you learn a few tricks: tricks with hair, tricks with teeth...

    Jay: Like?

Doris: Always wear hair, always wear teeth...

agree, his lines were the funniest

Franklin: There's a reason there's a banana in my ear. I'm trying to lure the monkey out of my head.

Franklin: I have a new girlfriend for you, son. Her name is Barbie and she lives in Mali-boo. She already has a boyfriend named Ken, but he's not much of a man... [whispering] I checked.

sorry, I couldn't just choose one

Wow, I thought I was with the minority unil I came to this thread. My favourite is Franklin too. (The peanut is neither a pea nor a nut... Wait, it is a nut!)

And of course Jay is a very close second because he is the show.

Can't believe nobody else has mentioned Duke Phillips.

"They love ya here in France! Maybe it's cuz you resemble Babar...KING OF THE ELEPHANTS!"

"You could get a black kid for your sidekick. He could call you Uncle Jay, and you could call him Lil Shabazz."

"Duke Phillips don't pay for nothin'!"

And so many other great moments. Franklin is great too, but Duke is my favorite character.

Franklin Sherman: "They'll never get the silverware, I've glued that to the ceiling?"

"Son I've found the perfect woman for you, her name is Barbie and she lives in Malibu. She has a boyfriend named Ken, but he is not much of a man... I've checked"

"that's a puzzler, here's another one for your.. they're called fingers yet they don't fing" (later re-used on Simpsons)
