Dennis Heymer was not happy with the way he was portrayed in this programme. He objected to a scene of him (played by Rafe Spall) in bed with another man. Heymer denied that he was ever unfaithful during his 30-year relationship with Howerd. Heymer described the programme as: "false and unflattering" and urged fans (of Howerd) to "switch off.".
