Two teams sell Tommy Hilfiger clothes out of the back of a truck. One team manages to lose the keys to their truck and blow one of the two days they have to sell. So they decide to sell everything for $5.00 per item. When Tommy comes by, they proudly tell him that people are buying armloads of stuff then coming back for more. No kidding, if you sell Hilfiger stuff for 1/10 of the wholesale price, people will buy it? Yep. Tommy wasn’t impressed.
Although the choice of winning team was questionable, for once Mr. Hilfiger’s choce of overall loser made sense. Location is the most important thing in sales. Rob is from Brooklyn and took his team to two different locations with empty streets, while the other team emptied their truck. Where? In Brooklyn.
