Nothing Says New York Like Baseball and Weenies
AIRED:
Teams are a thing of the past. Everyone is on their own. No finger pointing and blaming team members. Each designer gets to pick a photographer and model to make an “iconic image” that can be used in advertising. The ideas are diverse and unique. At the style council, everyone is shocked when Tommy brings designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld out to help judge the images.moreless

Individual effort counts for once. Each designer gets a photographer and a model to make an “iconic image” in New York City. Not too difficult, I’d say.

Some of the ideas sound laughable. A male model surrounded by baseballs and hot dogs getting squirted with mustard? Or, trying to get a skinny white model in a bikini to “act” like she’s out of place in Harlem in the winter.

On the other hand, some of the ideas that sound good don’t turn out as well. In the end they are all on the verge of tears when Karl Lagerfeld shows up to judge the pictures.

People who did well as a team don’t do as well individually, and some that never did so great as team get high praise.

Now this show starts to get interesting.
