Jon starts off the show by getting right into the news, which has President Bush travelling through Asia. For more on this, Jon turns to Senior Asian Bureau Chief, Dan Bakkedakl, live in Kyoto, Japan. President Bush isn't over there just to discuss democracy, but rather do some advertising.
Jon then introduces a piece from Samantha Bee, who reports on the news. Howard Scott was paid $100,000 by a city to report only good news. There are obviously some people who are totally against this sort of thing.
Back from commercial, Jon gets into a news piece about the next presidential run in 2008. Jon shows some clips from FOX News and CNN, where a few governors were asked if they would be running. Jon proceeded to offer his predictions in his own silly way.
Back from commercial, Jon welcomes tonight's guest, author of The Areas of My Expertise, John Hodgman. They discussed his new book, and specifically the topic of hobos.
I really liked this episode; it had to be my favorite in a while. Dan's comments on the Japanese names were hilarious. Samantha Bee's segment was slightly above average, nothing spectacular. The interview was rather humorous, cracking Jon up a few times.
