Jon starts off the show by getting right into the news. Jon discusses the Election Day, which found two governors, who were Democrats get elected, in states that had two Democrats as Governor, which isn't so impressive. Jon showed several other individuals being elected, as well as some of the negative ads that were shown during the campaigns.
Jon then introduces a segment by Rob Corddry about all of the ridiculous spending by the Congress and Senate. Rob interviews Congressman Jeff Flake, from Arizona, who suggested that they cut out the Department of Energy and Education, among others. Rob then interviewed Christie McKay, who supports a program which teaches adults to read. Next up was "Meat Inspection" and a lunch program.
Back from commercial, it's time for Lewis Black and another "Back in Black" segment. Lewis ranted about Wal-Mart, which lost a store because of an airplane crashing into it. There are two new documentaries coming out, one praising, one criticizing Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has also been in the news because of a leaked memo, which wanted to get people to do more physical activities such as gathering carts, as more and more people are obese.
Back from commercial, Jon introduces tonight's guest, Keira Knightley, who is starring in Pride and Prejudice. Their discussion was a little bit about everything, her movie career, her sequels to Pirates of the Caribbean, and the recent news of pirates trying to take over and board a cruise ship off the coast of Somalia.
