This is a great episode where Stewart shows that he is willing to take shots at both Democrats and Republicans.
The "Political Theater" sketch mocks both Democrats and Republicans for still not ending the war in Iraq not even setting a timetable. As Stewart would say a few nights later "it's all the same political rhetoric" meaning nothing will every get done despite the bickering on both sides. This is probably more of a critiques as Democrats have been the most vocal against the war, yet for all intentional purposes have neither impeached Bush or really followed through with their promise to end the war.
As we have a major political race on our hands everybody seems to be saying the same thing. Anyways, Matt discusses the Simpsons resulting in a couple of great jabs by Stewart specifically the fact that Bart is still ten , twelve years old and has never aged!!!
Groening takes the jabs with a big grin and then talks about the longevity of the Simpsons. He also talks about the Simpsons movie. All in all it's an entertaining chat with Simpsons creator and this episode together with the commentary on politics and Michael Vick make it worthwhile to watch.
