  • Dan takes a trip to Arizona to find out about gay rodeos.

Jon starts off the show by getting right into mentioning the Canadian elections, and the liberal party is out of power, after thirteen years of control.

Jon then gets into the news that Ford is cutting tens of thousands of jobs in hopes of cutting costs. Jon pokes a little fun at Bill Ford, the CEO of the company, who of course, won't lose his job, unlike 30,000 other people. Jon turns to Detroit/Upper Peninsula Correspondent, Rob Corddry, live from Detroit, MI. Rob points to the fact that Ford spent tens of millions on the naming rights to the stadium the Detroit Lions play in, and where the Super Bowl is being held.

Jon then turns his attention to President Bush, who in Kansas, took questions from people in the audience. Jon shows a few of the Q & A's, including one where a woman asked President Bush a question there was no way he could spin to something positive, so he claimed he couldn't hear the woman, but didn't seem to have a problem responding to those praising him.

Back from commercial, Jon introduces a piece from Dan Bakkedahl, who took a trip to Arizona to find out more about the gay rodeos in the country. He also talks to a man who's against the idea of the idea of gay cowboys.

Back from commercial, Jon welcomes tonight's guest, Reza Aslan, author of No god, but God. They talk about Islam, terrorism, and war.

Overall, tonight's show was great... the letdown was the interview, which I didn't learn anything from. When there is an author like Reza Aslan on, I expect to learn something, but it wasn't the case tonight. Dan's segment was without a doubt, the best he's done, and the best by anyone in the past few months. As a comedian, Dan was great, and Daric Schesselman did a great job editing the piece down.moreless
