  • Rob Corddry takes a dump on a guy's yard...no, really.

Jon starts off the show by mentioning Sam Jackson, and then turns to "crisis management".

Jon takes us to a segment called "Meet The F**kers", all about the guys who are managing the crisis in Louisiana.

We were first introduced to head of FEMA, Michael Brown. His previous job was with judging Arabian horses. Jon shows an interview with Michael Brown, who makes himself and the government look further incompetant.

Up next was Michael Chirtoff, from Homeland Security. He sounded more intelligent than Michael Brown, but didn't do a very good job. Jon talked about how the government doesn't want to "play the blame game", because usually those who don't want to play the blame game are usually to blame.

Jon then went on to what the celebrities are saying. First up was Kanye West, who said "Bush doesn't care about black people." Jon also talked about Harry Connick Jr. who was from the New Orleans area. Sean Penn was up next, who was in New Orleans trying to rescue people in a boat. Oh, and now, it's Celine Dion on Larry King. While she's crying, Larry King asks her to sing something.

After returning from a commercial, it was time for Rob Corddry's segment about lawns. He interviews a guy who replaced his yard with plastic grass. The guy has his detractors who have complained about the look of it, and the fact that plastic comes from oil, and we're at war in the Middle East. To test the lawn's ability to be cleaned, Rob takes a dump on the lawn, and the home owner is able to wash it off with his water hose. This was a very silly segment.

Sam Jackson is up now. His new movie is The Man. Jon and Sam talk about the film a little and maybe getting Jon into a movie, but Jon admits his acting isn't very good. Sam talked a little bit about how he's helping out people in the south, and stated he doesn't like to give money to the Red Cross, because of their overhead costs. I always seem to enjoy Sam Jackson's interviews.moreless

    • Jon Stewart: So no one's going to be held accountable for this (Hurricane Katrina) at all?
Ed Helms: No. In fact, if history is any indication, they'll be hard-pressed finding enough medals to pin on these guys. My sources tell me the head of FEMA will be dipped in bronze and turned into an award to be given to other officials.
